This Difference: Bookmark Design Competition
About the project
The Responsa Foundation curates contemporary art projects exploring our intolerance to others. This is our first project and it marks the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust with a focus on the burning of books and what this signified.
About the competition
We invite artists to create a bespoke bookmark exploring their own sense of being different and how this affects them. We will then select a shortlist of winning designs to print in large numbers as bookmarks.
All winning bookmarks will be displayed as an exhibition at the Wiener Library in Russell Square. Internationally renowned artist Alicia Felberbaum will make a video of all the winning artists which will be shown alongside the winning works plus online and where possible within bookshops.
How to submit:
1 Please send one image of your artwork as a CMYK TIFF or JPEG.
2 Submit a short text (no more than one side of A4) in response to the project title ‘This Difference’
3 The bookmark size is 200mm x 55mm. Please add 3mm all round for the bleed. (206mm x 61mm)
4 Should you be selected you would be required, for online purposes, to send a second image as a RGB TIFF or JPEG.
Please note we are unable to accept any original artwork.
